VALENCIA, Calif.—In an innovative move for director B. Skow, the premier scene of his new drama Color Blind will make its first appearance online, when a scene featuring Reena Sky and Steven St. Croix is posted on the official BSkow membership website September 16. Following that initial release, an additional scene will be revealed each Friday, September 23, 30, and October 7, online at BSkow.com.
Color Blind tells the tale of a young blind girl from an all-American, blue-collar family (Kasey Warner) who falls in love with an idealistic young black man (Isiah Maxwell) during the Los Angeles riots of the ‘90s. Completing the cast are Jovan Jordan, and actresses Layton Benton and Adriana Chechik, along with debut scene stars Reena Sky and Steven St. Croix.
For his new feature, the acclaimed director and producer of the BSkow brand developed an original storyline that viewers should not only find stimulating in the traditional sense, but will hopefully also provide a heightened awareness of the reality experienced by people of all races and abilities.
“When the idea came to me, I was exploring the notion that people who are visually impaired often experience an intensifying of their other senses: touch, taste, smell, and how that would affect them sexually,” noted Skow. “Then when you take it a step further, exploring that which you can’t see, then you can really begin to break down any walls and preconceived notions based on appearance.”
For those looking for the complete Color Blind experience, the 2-disc DVD edition will feature the full-length film on Disc One. Disc Two will carry Skow’s private interviews of each starlet along with four bonus clips: Marie McCray and Steven St. Croix in Truth Be Told, Dillion Harper and Richie Calhoun in Southern Hospitality, threesome Riley Reid, Capri Cavanni and Ryan McLane from Daddy’s Girls 2, and Kasey Warner with Seth Gamble in a scene from In The Flesh. The 2-Disc DVD set will be available on the Girlfriends Films Distribution website beginning September 19, and in stores nationwide September 23.
