Bow Wow Ordered to Pay Katsuni $80K for Stolen Video

HOLLYWOOD—A federal judge has ordered rapper Bow Wow to pay adult star Katsuni $79,246.07 in damages and lawyer fees for allegedly using video footage of her dancing in his video "Drank in My Cup" without permission.

TMZ reports that Bow Wow never responded to Katsuni's lawsuit, originally filed in July and charging that the rapper had stolen the footage from the music video for "Conspiracy Strip Club" by techno group The Electronic Conspiracy. Katusni's complaint stated, "At no time did plaintiff permit footage of her dance performance in the Electronic Conspiracy music video to be used for any other purpose or in conjunction with any other musician than Electornic Conspiracy."

When Katsuni first leveled the accusation last April, Bow Wow representative Aliya Crawford told AVN, "The video was created and posted by a fan, not by Bow Wow or anyone associated with him."

However, Katsuni's subsequent lawsuit asserted that the video had been posted on Bow Wow's official YouTube page and promoted via Twitter by the artist himself.

Still unanswered is whether Bow Wow had permission to use the instrumentals of fellow rap artist Kirko Bangz' song "Drank in My Cup," which underlay the contested video.
