Adult actor Barrett Blade has now added “Music Video Director” to his resumé, lensing a vid for the song “Misery” by new band It’s Revenge.
A Green Day-esque track, “Misery” is about a couple breaking up, and for the video, Blade cast his wife, Kirsten Price, as the girl. Blade is connected to It’s Revenge through the drummer, who used to play in Blade’s band Dial Seven.
“[It’s Revenge] wanted me to put together a little music video, but they had no money,” Blade told AVN.com. “So out of favor and chump change, we fuckin’ threw together a music video. Pulled out my camera, my edit bay and fuckin’ went to work for them, and I think we got a nice little piece for a little rock band out of Orange County.”
Blade contended that this new venture might be a career path he’ll pursue, saying, “I’m doing [the same] for other bands, too, right now, so if anybody’s looking, let me know, I’ll come help out. I’m an editor, and I’ve been directing, so I just kind of use my knowledge of the porn industry, and put out my own little thing.
“It’s a dream of mine to [become a music video director], although I don’t expect it to ever happen. I’m not one of those people that are gonna be like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I’m gonna end up doing.’ If it worked out, cool. If it didn’t, I wouldn’t be upset, either, so either way. It’s something that I enjoy doing — I love music, I love putting images to music, so it worked out good.”
