Barrett Blade Co-Produces Original Series Centered on Adult

LOS ANGELES—AVN Hall of Fame performer and filmmaker Barrett Blade is co-producing an original dramedy series about the adult industry.

The series called TAIM, which is an acronym for Trident Adult Image Management, was created by writer and podcaster Matt Preston from South Jersey.

Preston and Blade were put in touch by a mutual contact and the rest is history.

“Working with Matt has been interesting so far,” Blade explains. “He’s a great writer and has a lot of energy… At the end of the day I want to take it easy, and he wants to go to the gym!”

Preston elaborates in his animated way that it’s his ample energy that helps power his creativity, with the gym and even traffic helping him become more creative. In fact it’s when he was running the track that he first started to put the concept of TAIM together in his head.

“To me it’s always been a matter of time before the adult industry was used as the vehicle for some kind of series, as many people are curious about it in a way not yet seen," Preston says. "However the driving force will be TAIM’s characters and their bond, with elements of romance and even sci-fi written in.”

One of the aspects to TAIM that attracted Blade to the project in the first place was that it didn’t go out of its way to attack the industry or walk on egg shells. And that is all the more important in attracting talent both in and out of the industry to play versions of themselves or completely fictional roles.

“I always pictured this as a show similar to Entourage, where we can have weekly guest stars from the field involved," Preston says.

They already have a mini episode shot and live on an Indiegogo campaign, where they’re looking to crowdfund the budget to film the pilot script.

As soon as that’s done they want to use TAIM’s first episode as the launching pad for the series to air on either streaming services or cable media. Preston already has two-plus seasons worth of scripts completed.
