Bad Dragon Renews Sponsorship of Mick Blue Racing

LOS ANGELES—Mick Blue tells AVN Bad Dragon has renewed their sponsorship of his racing team for the 2019 season.

“Bad Dragon has jumped on the train again to be my main sponsor for this season and I’m very very thankful,” Blue, the three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year, says. “They believe in me and also in my abilities as a race-car driver, and they make certain things possible for me to do.

“It’s now the second year that they are on board and it’s just a great fit.”

Blue says it has been a pleasure getting to know the Phoenix-based team at Bad Dragon, which is headed by General Manager Michael Sullivan.

“I’ve been down at their facility and I know all the people personally,” Blue says. “They just moved into a new facility that made things a little more special for them. If you look at every single person at Bad Dragon they are amazing human beings. They really are working hard to get the best products out there. I think what they’ve achieved within the last five years is remarkable.”

Now a fixture in the adult pleasure products realm, Bad Dragon manufactures a diverse range of fantasy-based dildos and masturbators; it also makes wearable toys for couples with a focus on sex-positive, American-made products.

"We renewed Mick's sponsorship as we believe in Mick and he's been wonderful to work with," Sullivan tells AVN. "We enjoy the fact that Mick is so passionate about something that is outside of the adult industry and we wanted to support his dream."

Sullivan says his company was very pleased with Blue's 2018 campaign.

"We thought he did a tremendous job and wish him the best success going forward for 2019," Sullivan adds. "Many of us here are race fans so it was absolutely awesome seeing a car with our logo on it and rooting for Mick. I personally can't say I'm too familiar with the sport but a few members of the staff and owners of the company are and thus love the concept of sponsoring races."

Blue, who will once again be driving for Team Abergel Motorsports, says his next race weekend will be June 15-16 at Buttonwillow Raceway—about 30 miles north of Bakersfield, Calif., in the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Pro Racing League.

“Then the first week of August we are planning to run the NASA Pro Racing event in Utah. We are also going to be running in Lucky Dog Racing at Laguna Seca in the end of August and then most likely I will drive again at the Nationals for NASA Pro Racing at the end of September at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course,” Blue says. “Then we’re going to have a NASA Pro Racing weekend in October again at Buttonwillow and at the end of November I’m planning to do the road racing event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin for a team that I didn’t decide yet.”

Blue says he is also still considering running the NASA 25 Hours of Thunder Hills race December 7-8.

“With car racing there’s always something that can happen,” Blue says. “… Bad Dragon is super good to me and it truly is an honor to represent their brand on my social media outlets and also throughout the racing season.”

Blue won his first race on the NASA circuit in early April for Team Abergel. The Austrian performer says he still has racing sponsorship opportunities available. Contact [email protected] for more information.
