I'm all about Internet dating and there's a good article by Vanessa Grigoriadis at www.newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/news/features/n_8227 about said topic.

Soccer star/world celebrity David Beckham has been in the news a lot these days having since left Manchester United for Real Madrid to the tune of $41 million. A long with his media darling wife Victoria, formerly Posh Spice, the Beckham's are all the rage these days (though a case can be made that they are always the rage in jolly old England). Anyway, according the story at www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/06/17/1055828330865.html, Beckham-loving female fans in Japan are styling their pubic hair into a Beckham Mohican, based on the bleached Mohican hairstyle he wore during last year's World Cup.

Former Vogue magazine assistant Laura Weisberger's first novel, The Devil Wears Prada, recently hit bookstores and has been a big success. Naughty, fashionable and an otherwise a light read, it's currently being read on beaches everywhere. Anyway, Ms. Weisberger has contributed her "10 Things You Don't Know About Women"list for Esquire magazine's monthly feature. www.esquire.com/features/articles/2003/030701_mfe_weisberger.html

The Good Girls Cometh (well, maybe not): The seventh annual convention of the Abstinence Clearinghouse, a nationwide network of educators who preach against sex before marriage and oppose the promotion of condoms to teenagers, took place last week in Las Vegas. Have you ever heard of a stranger pairing? "Virgins in Vegas."It sounds like a new title from Anabolic. Yet, for these happy virgins keen to preach the power of sexual restraint, they must go to where the sex is - and the sex is clearly in Sin City. The campaign motto is ?Virginity Rules' and there's a Website to go with it. I have a feeling these girls aren't having "Sex and the City" viewing parties on Sunday nights. The three-day conference - titled "Beyond the Neon: Creating a Culture of Character (because clearly those of us who screw before marriage have none) - featured seminars on the history of abstinence and the consequences of premarital sex. Exhibitors presented assorted goodies like underwear that depicts a giant red stop sign with the message "No Trespassing" on the front. Conversely, the panties with "I Need A Big Hard Cock"emblazoned on the crotch were a big hit at Erotica LA. Anyway, it seems that boatloads of teenagers - each who have taken vows of virginity - hit the Vegas Strip Friday evening to hand out "good girl cards" as a way to teach half-drunk, half-dressed, horny and gambling addicted tourists and locals about the joys of abstinence. The cards in question feature photos of six girls with information about sexually transmitted diseases and marriage. All of this to rival the omnipresent pornographic pamphlets handed out on every corner. It's too bad the Adult Entertainment Expo and the Abstinence Clearinghouse Conference couldn't have their conventions simultaneously. Now that would be some kind of party. Hey, I don't care if you want to wait until you're married to have sex, but this whole deal with being against the promotion of condoms to teens is a tad absurd.

In other news, I had sex this weekend out of wedlock.

Thoughts, opinions, cheap shots, slander, biased judgments, love letters, sweet nothings, haranguing, personalized erotica? How about a cool site I should know about? Drop me a note at [email protected]. Or don't. It's all good, and I'm plenty busy as it is.
