LOS ANGELES—Multiple AVN Award-winning spoof Black Widow XXX: An Axel Braun Parody—the latest production from Wicked Pictures' superhero banner Wicked Comix—releases today on DVD through Pulse Distribution.
Starring Penthouse Pet of the Year Lacy Lennon in the titular role portrayed in the mainstream film by Scarlett Johansson, and which won Lennon the 2022 AVN trophy for Best Actress - Featurette, the DVD’s bonus features include an all-new sex scene featuring Captain Marvel (Kenzie Taylor) and Deadpool (three-time AVN Best Actor and Gamma exclusive performer Seth Gamble). In addition, the first 500 copies to be shipped are two-disc collector’s edition sets that include a full non-sex version of the movie.
Aside from Lennon's accolade for her portryal of Natasha Romanov, Black Widow XXX earned AVN Awards for Best Featurette, Best Screenplay - Featurette (Braun), and the first ever Mark Stone Award for Outstanding Comedy. Prior to its AVN bounty, Braun’s blockbuster had earned the NightMoves First Choice Award, a bestowal recognizing the excellence of productions released after the magazine’s voting deadline.
A trained opera singer, Lennon’s previous Braun bona fides include playing Jean Grey in Captain Marvel XXX, in which she also sang the movie's theme song "Asses," a send-up of Celine Dion’s "Ashes" from Deadpool 2, which propelled the award-winning parody to a Best Soundtrack AVN trophy. Besides his now signature inhabiting of the Deadpool role—which won him the first of his three AVN acting trophies—Braun protégé Gamble has played characters for the AVN Hall of Fame director including Luke Skywalker, Captain Boomerang and Mr. Hyde in award-winning projects over the years. Also a Braun regular, Ramon Nomar was a hit with fans in Black Widow XXX with a canonical portrayal of the classic comic book version of Tony Masters, complete with Taskmaster’s signature skull mask and Brooklyn accent. Russian-born, six-foot-tall Elena Koshka played Romanov’s frenemy Yelena Belova, the “other” Black Widow portrayed by Florence Pugh in the Marvel film.
On the heels of its awards haul thus far, Black Widow XXX is currently nominated for four XRCO Awards: Best Parody, Best Comedy, Best Actress and Best Director (Parody). The winners will be announced at an industry-only Hollywood gala on May 5, 2022.
To follow up the success of this outing, Braun is currently in production on Spideypool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody, which will see current XRCO New Stud nominee Tyler Cruise taking over the coveted role of Spider-Man in the AxelVerse alongside Gamble once again reprising the role of Deadpool, Kenna James as Mary Jane Watson and 2022 AVN Best New Starlet Blake Blossom as Gwen Stacy AKA Spider-Gwen.
