CANOGA PARK, Calif.—Director Axel Braun is putting out the call to all male performers interested in donning the Batcape for his forthcoming porn parody franchise reboot The Batman XXX.
While historically, Braun casting calls have been massive events drawing long lines of hopefuls stretching around the Wicked Pictures building, this year, due to COVID-19, the director will only be accepting digital audition submissions for this latest Wicked Comix project. Fortunately, he has tested this method previously, when over 120 women sent in video auditions last year for the lead role in his Captain Marvel XXX, which ultimately went to Kenzie Taylor.
All licensed talent agencies have been sent sides and model release forms, so any performer looking to audition should reach out to ther respective agent for details. Self-booking talent are welcome and encouraged to request sides by emailing Melissa at [email protected]. Submissions and model releases should be sent to that email address no later than September 15 with the subject line "The Batman XXX Audition."
"This is beyond exciting for me," Braun said. "I love the casting process, and Batman is not only an iconic role but also the character that single-handedly fueled my passion for parodies."
That passion was reflected in a three-word post Braun made to Twitter earlier this week that got an overwhelming response, garnering over 12,000 likes and 2,000 retweets in two days:

"Season 1 of The Batman XXX will be a massive undertaking," Braun continued. "So whoever ends up in that costume needs to be prepared to display a wide acting range and intensity, as well as a strong physicality. And of course, he needs to be able and willing to endure my notoriously long hours on set. But most of all, he needs to love and respect the source material and really care about the project."
Actors who've inhabited the Batman role for Braun in the past have included Giovanni Francesco in five movies, Charles Dera in two, and the man who started it all, AVN Hall of Famer Dale DaBone. And while the mainstream incarnation of the character has been played by Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and now Robert Pattinson in director Matt Reeves' upcoming big screen version of The Batman, Braun stressed that he's not seeking someone to simply recreate what fans have seen before.
"It's important for me to see something fresh and creative," Braun explained, "so I encourage all talent to come up with their own version of the character as opposed to imitating any of the mainstream performances."
Unfolding over eight 45-minute episodes to be released weekly on Wicked.com and subsequently in full on Blu-ray, Braun promises that The Batman XXX will be his most ambitious project to date.
