AVN's Female Performer of the Year: Jenna Haze

There were plenty of qualified nominees for this year's Female Performer of the Year award, but there's little doubt as to why Jenna Haze snagged the trophy.

"Thank you, AVN. I really, really worked so fucking hard - I even went blonde for this," the tiny beauty proclaimed from the Mandalay Bay stage, where she co-hosted the awards show with Belladonna. "I think I'm only the second girl to win starlet and performer of the year, and you guys are amazing, and you guys make me do what I do. I love fucking for you. You have no idea."

Jenna told AVN that she really feels she's beginning to hit her stride as an actress. She's also launching her own label Jennaration X, hitting the market this year through Jules Jordan Video.

"I got to do a bunch of features this year, which is different for me, since I'm primarily a gonzo girl, and I love doing features," she said. "I'm definitely spreading my wings in this business and growing, growing, growing."

Haze scored nine AVN Awards nominations for her work in the past year. Perhaps her best-known role of 2008 was as the "Samantha" character in X-Play/Adam & Eve's Not Bewitched XXX, where her comedic talents were well in evidence - and she informed us that she's already been signed for the sequel.

"I've got to practice the nose twitch again," she said. "I forgot how to do it. It's hard."

But fans of her harder material, take heart: Jenna hasn't forgotten her roots.

"I just did another d.p., and I never used to do d.p.s, and now I've done like five of them, and I want my fans to know I'm just as slutty as I used to be," she chuckled. "I'm planning to do another thing with Lex [Steele], and I'd like to do an interracial d.p. - oh, yeah. I've got lots of things to do; more blowbangs with lots more guys."

The rest of us will just watch in awe.
