LOS ANGELES—August Skye called her Twistys Treat day “an amazing experience.”
“I had a blast shooting for them,” Skye says. “When you come on set it’s all about you and they make that very known.”
Skye & Co. channeled Tulum vibes even though she was shooting at a luxury estate deep in the San Fernando Valley to commemorate her November Twistys Treat of the Month honor.
“Twistys makes you feel confident where you can be yourself,” Skye says. “My favorite part about it was they came up with different outfits that reflected who I am as a person and that just made it so much more enjoyable.
“I felt sexy and confident, like this is me, you guys are here for me. I’ve never felt better and more sexy and more wanted.”
Skye worked closely with director/stylist Lea Lexis and photographer JT on the shoot, striking poses in an exotic desert landscape and switching from a gorgeous brown dress and bikini to a bright green ensemble.

August tells AVN she shot with with JT before.
“He’s a really good photographer,” she says. “He’s very easy to work with and very quick. He keeps it soft, sexy and sensual.”
August performed her Treat of the Month scene with Ella Reese the day before her photoshoot.
“I’ve shot with her three times already,” Skye says. “Twistys let me choose who I wanted to work with and I chose her. She is gorgeous and lovely to work with and I’m glad we got to make another scene. I think we genuinely enjoy each other’s chemistry.”
Born in Memphis, Tenn., and raised in Denver, August made her adult industry debut in April 2022.
“I’ve been loving it ever since,” she says. “It’s been a great time.”
Now booking through the newly branded agency Performers First, Skye was no stranger to modeling before adult, gaining experience with lingerie, glamour and some nudes beginning in her mid-20s.
“I’ve shot for my fair share of men’s magazines,” she says. “This was a really fitting jump.”
She also waited tables and bartended at restaurants, worked as a front-desk receptionist at a hotel, pulled shifts at a nursing home, explored retail and had many late nights as a dancer and cam girl before adult.
She started at a gentlemen’s club about five years ago when she was living in North Carolina and then later did most of her dancing in Denver.
Skye also studied fashion design, esthetics and business during various stints in college.
“I loved going to school and the second thing would be I loved bartending and talking to people. I was kind of a busy body, I liked to move around,” August recalls with a laugh. “Now I love doing adult films.”
She continues, “It’s been such a wild year and I think with all the positive feedback and all the great success that I’ve had this year is ending on a good note and I’m thankful for that.
“For 2024 I’m excited to see what the industry has to offer for me. I guess I’m in my sophomore year of doing adult films.
“I’m not really trying to stress about it too much. I’ve had so many amazing opportunities. And it’s great to keep getting more and more opportunities. I think my best is yet to come.”
