Wearing a black cocktail dress with a soda in her hand, Aubrey Addams cuts quite the figure as she strolls about the party with a gentle smile across her lips.
Even as some eyes follow her across the room, she says softly that she’s not used to the attention her new porn career has given her.
“I’m still a girl from Jersey, really. I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon,” she says.
"But it's fun to have people recognize me and say nice things about my movies.”
But even as she sips her soda, the 19-year-old starlet seems ill at ease as more industry people walk up to her and ask her name even if they recognize her from her box covers.
It’s all part of the game, she says, as she slips back into her playful, flirty persona of Aubrey Addams, a new starlet who is quickly making a name for herself.
Starring in the Platinum X titles Teens Craving Cum, released last week and Cock Craving Cuties, set for release on Monday, Addams has logged more than 30 titles with more in the offing as she continues to work steadily five days a week.
It was just last January that then-18-year-old Addams found herself on the set of her first porn shoot, having earlier left fashion college.
“I just didn’t think college was right for me at the time,” she recalled.
“I knew I wanted to do porn and don’t ask me why, because I don’t know. I just always wanted to do it and why not do it while you’re still young and be able to have fun with it?”
Having gone online to find an adult film producer, Addams didn’t take long to find one near her home.

“My first shoot ever was back in New Jersey with John the Stutterer from ‘The Howard Stern Show.' It went well. I just gave him a blowjob and he was really nice about it. He’s a very sweet guy," she says, of the shoot for Bluelight Films’ Here Cums John Vol. 1.
But Addams realized that if she was going to make a go of her career that she would have to come to Los Angeles where the real action was.
“I always set goals for myself. I was a good student and I wanted to go to design school. But I also wanted to do porn," she said. "I’ve seen porn and I liked having sex. I was the first one among my friends to have sex and I slept with different guys so they were always coming to me with questions. I just like to try new things and liked the idea of having sex in front of a camera.”
Once she arrived in Porn Valley, the 4-foot-10 blonde found an agent and was soon on set, waiting to do her first sex scene.
“My first shoot out here, I was really nervous. The company was Red Light District and I felt this could make me or break me. It’s a big company, but when I set my mind on something, there is no other option. I know I’ll make it."
Working with such gonzo directors as Michael Stefano, Juan Cuba, Manuel Ferrara and David Luger, Addams became a go-to girl when it came to shooting teen-themed titles.

Among her recent slew of titles are Vouyer Media’s Make Me Creamy 2, Red Light’s New Whore at the Door, Lethal Hardcore’s Eight Simple Rules for Banging My Teenage Daughter, Diabolic’s I’m a Big Girl Now, Sin City Films’ Barely 18 #28 and Venom Digital’s F-ing Teens 3, among others.
“When I first got here, I didn’t think I was very good, but people have really helped me out and I’m a better performer now because of that.”
But while her parents disapprove of her career choice, Addams remains philosophical about their differences.
“I don’t think any parent would want their child to do porn, but this is what I love to do. And I think we all have to live our lives the way we want to.”
Even so, Addams has visited them and they enjoy each others’ company but the topic of porn remains unsaid at times.
But her friends back home remain supportive of her. After all, she says, she’s still the same girl.
“Aubrey is really a very unique individual,” said Red Light publicist Larry Schwartz.
“She’s the most natural girl next door-type persona and she’s got the sweetest disposition and her scenes reflect exactly the same thing. There’s no pretense to the scene. She’s having a good time.”
Likewise, veteran director Vince Vouyer didn’t have to be sold on the starlet when she arrived at his office on a go-see.
“She was very down to earth and had so much enthusiasm, I knew she was what I was looking for,” said Vouyer, who was casting for his company’s creampie-laden title, Make Me Creamy 2.
“I asked her if she was up for having five guys cum in her pussy and then do a blowbang with five other guys and she said ‘yeah.’”
For Addams, taking a creampie wasn’t a big deal. But doing it with five men in front of a camera was a little intimidating.
“I love to perform. And I also love sex. But I know I’m putting out a fantasy out there. I have to be this person who has lots of sex and shows that she enjoys it.
“To me, the idea of porn is to create a fantasy and in a guy’s mind, it’s real. You want to create a fantasy and make it as real as possible. Nobody wants to watch someone who is just staring at the other person.
“... When I came out here, I knew I wasn’t six-feet tall, didn’t have big boobs and I’m not the epitome of what a porn star should look like. But this is what I bring to the table. I have to be me in every scene and I have to have that come through.
Despite a busy schedule that takes her to do fetish shoots in San Francisco and boy-girl Internet shoots in Florida and elsewhere, Addams still finds time to listen to music, watch television and read.
“I love reading. Especially things about science and art. I can lose myself in a good book. But I also love museums and libraries. I’m into learning, really. I guess it kinda sounds funny to people.”
Although she has no plans to do an anal scene any time soon, Addams says she may be open to it in the future. She says she is still exploring her sexuality and ability to perform well.
“This is a business and you have to work hard at it to succeed. I know that, so that’s what I try to do in every scene I do. It’s a business. You do your work and you go home. I don’t date porn guys and I don’t have a lot of sex outside the business. But I have fun and I’m enjoying myself.”
