LOS ANGELES—It's been talked about for several weeks already, but Angela White’s first trans scene debuted on EvilAngel.com this morning. The scene, which appears on the DVD I Am Angela, was directed by AVN Hall of Famer Joey Silvera, and sees Angela, the reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year, appearing with top trans star Chanel Santini.
The scene, entitled "Superstars," is the third installment in the top-selling showcase I Am Angela by Evil Angel Films and Evil Chris, which combines four hardcore sex scenes with a feature length documentary about the Australian star. An astute businesswoman and entrepreneur, Angela has always retained control of her image and brand, which has also meant producing and owning most of her on-camera "firsts" under her AGW Entertainment label—until now. Recognizing Evil Angel’s long history at the forefront of mainstream trans content, Angela entrusted Silvera to document this important moment in her career.
“My scene with Chanel was a breathtakingly beautiful experience,” said Angela. “We were so present and connected throughout the sex and everything flowed organically. I'm honored to have shot this scene under the direction of trans porn pioneer Joey Silvera and very grateful to have Evil Chris there to document my nervous excitement leading up to and during the scene. I'm proud that this important scene was captured in a way that didn't fetishize the taboo and just allowed Chanel and I to connect as sexual beings.”
According to the movie’s director, Chris Gentile, “This was one of the most challenging scenes we put together for I Am Angela. We knew that no one else could produce it other than Joey Silvera. I approached him multiple times and he just didn't seem interested in appearing on camera in a documentary. Then one day out of nowhere he said, 'Hey, about that Angela thing … let's do it.' I was floored. The most experienced industry figure we'd ever met had just agreed to be a part of Angela and I's project.”
Evil Chris continued, “When we got to set that day I picked up on the initial nervous energy. I think it exists, to a certain degree, any time a performer shoots a major first in their career. But within minutes, the girls were talking and I could see that they were building strong sexual chemistry. I teased them a little bit by not rushing through shooting all of the documentary segments. By the time we got to stills they were dying to finally get their hands on each other. I told Joey we were going to leave so he could work directly with the talent and have minimal distractions on set. He initially seemed happy about that, but as we were leaving he came running outside and told us we weren't going anywhere. He explained that we had become part of the energy of the scene.”
I Am Angela, which released on VOD in late September and on DVD on October 31, has quickly established itself as a critical and commercial success. Already the recipient of multiple five-star reviews, the high profile showcase topped Adult Empire’s October VOD sales chart, and in under a week has already rocketed to number one on Adult Empire’s DVD Bestsellers list.
The first two episodes of I Am Angela were released on EvilAngel.com last week, while the fourth and final episode, entitled "Ciao Bella!," which sees Angela perform her first anal scene with the legendary Rocco Siffredi, will drop on Friday, November 9.
