Anabolic Adds Mason to Roster of Directors

Saying, “I embrace her artistic vision,” Anabolic Video owner Christopher Alexander told AVN.com that he has signed controversial director Mason to an exclusive directing deal.

“I feel that Mason joining our team will be quite a coup for Anabolic,” he said. “She exhibits an incredible rapport with talent and she shows great commitment to production value.

“Her Internet awareness and marketing acumen are also quite impressive. Without detracting from any of the other directors in our industry, I feel she’s far more intelligent than many I have met in the past. I feel that by our association we will both be made stronger.”

“I’ve always thought I was born and raised on Anabolic,” Mason revealed. “No other studio’s movies have had as much of an impact on my directing as theirs.”

When told that the deal sounds like a match made in heaven, Alexander replied, “I think we’re both feeling the same way. And hopefully, two years from now — or maybe five or 10 —we’ll still be saying the same thing.”

He said that Mason should be “in full production by mid-July,” adding, “she’ll probably be producing more rapidly than she has in the past. More releases more often — and possibly even more creative releases.”

Mason made her reputation with her dark, edgy work at Elegant Angel, which she continued at Platinum X with the series Riot Sluts. Most recently she made one title for Hustler Video, scheduled for September release, before parting ways with the company last week.

“I’m happy to be with a studio that supports and respects my vision,” she said. “I believe Anabolic is everything I’m looking for in a company, and I look forward to creating my best work yet.”

As for specifics of the deal, Alexander said it’s Anabolic’s policy to keep contractual details confidential.
