AMVC.com, an amateur video production and distribution company, has ended all VHS and PAL production, sales, and distribution on its site.
AMVC will continue to produce, sell, and distribute DVDs and streaming video.
“I guess VHS has gone the way of the 8-track, although it’s still around on a few sites that are probably doing what we did and waiting for the stock depletion,” says AMVC.com’s co-owner, Allen McNulty. “I can’t imagine what the new technology will be that will replace DVD and streaming.”
The company began phasing out VHS and PAL in early November.
