Video-on-demand website All Adult Channel has launched an exclusive download-to-burn release of Vivid Entertainment's Debbie Does Dallas…Again.
All Adult Channel's online premiere of Debbie follows the site's successful work with Vivid on the release of Kim Kardashian Superstar. The Kardashian video was the first adult title to go live on the internet as a download-to-burn offering on the same day the DVD hit store shelves.
"Kim Kardashian Superstar did so well that Vivid decided to do Debbie Does Dallas the same way," said All Adult Channel's Lawrence Novitch. "I can't give exact numbers on Kim Kardashian, but I can say that it's been one of the top sellers ever for download-to-burn."
All Adult Channel is offering webmasters a 25% rev share for the Debbie download. "There's a free trial bundle attached to it, and if the customer buys the bundle and rolls over to the trial it's a $50 payout," Novitch explained.
Novitch told AVN.com that the Kim Kardashian experiment showed more consumers adopting the download-to-burn technology than ever before. "Some people had issues at the beginning," he said. "There's a media manager and people weren't downloading it, but once they did, it worked out very well."
"Our plan of attack is to get day-and-date titles from several other studios," Novitch added. "Elegant Angel has already agreed and sent us day-and-date titles; we're going to start doing these pushes on a regular basis."
