LAS VEGAS—Last month the Legends Room opened its doors in Las Vegas for a sneak preview during the big Mayweather-McGregor fight, and now the new club is open for business, marking the beginning of the Bitcoin era for gentlemen's cabarets.
The Legends Room reimagines the Las Vegas gentlemen’s cabaret by using blockchain technology and providing exclusive memberships for elite clientele. It is the first gentlemen’s cabaret in Las Vegas that accepts Bitcoin for all club services, in addition to traditional currencies.
The Legends Room features exotic entertainers who are able to accept tips from patrons in the form of digital currency with QR codes strategically placed via temporary tattoos. The Legends Room adult entertainer-branded Bitcoin ATMs are also located throughout the 15,000-square-foot facility, which is located less than a mile from the Las Vegas Strip. Guests are able to securely purchase members-only status at the Legends Room on the Bittrex exchange. The Legends Room token trades under the symbol LGD.
The Legends Room consists of a main club outfitted in animal-print carpet, LED lighting and suede seating that is open to the general public, as well as a “Members Only” private area that requires the ownership of 5,000 LGD tokens for entry and is equipped with leather sofas, flat-screen TVs, state-of-the-art technology, and private booths and conversation areas. This area will also be home to celebrity events and feature dances by top adult stars. The club also maintains video monitors with the $LGD price quoted in addition to a Bloomberg terminal in the members area for patrons from the financial community.
The Legends Room bills itself as “an upscale social playground known for celebrity performances by some of the biggest adult stars, such as Penthouse Pet of the Year Kenna James, Jesse Jane, Tasha Reignand Edyn Blair.” The club also draws in professional athletes and UFC fighters such as Stephen Bonnar, Felice Herrig and Gray Maynard. Cocktails boast adult star namesakes, such as the Jesse Jane, the Kat Dior and the Kenna James.
“The Legends Room members-only area will host a variety of events ranging from UFC to major sports, to presentations given by experts in financial markets, entertainment, and athletics. Members will get to visit with athletes and notable personalities at special viewing events and after parties,” said Nick Blomgren, founder of the Legends Room. “One of the main goals of The Legends Room that differentiates our clientele is to expose and promote the idea of tradable tokens for fractional assets to the public. Because we’re taking a members-only club approach to an exclusive area of the club, ownership is required for entry into the VIP area. Some of our members do not live in Vegas and will only visit once or twice a year, so we allow our members to rent their token and charge a fee. The program will allow them to potentially create revenue from the rental of tokens.”
