MONTREAL—The first episode of new documentary series Being Trans 24/7 from Adult Time banner Transfixed premieres today at AdultTime.com.
The episode, "Vanniall," stars the trans woman of the same name, along with Ashley Lake, and delves into the persistent feeling she encounters of not belonging, even within her community. "You go to a straight club, you're othered; you go to a gay club, you're othered," she says. "It's hard to connect with people because being trans is such a specific experience."
Shot exclusively by trans creators, Being Trans 24/7 captures individual portraits of trans performers from a wide spectrum of demographics—male-to-female, female-to-male, various generations, backgrounds and cultures—sharing their unique stories and experiences of what it means to be trans in today's society.
Episode two, starring Angelina Please and Kaiia Eve, is slated to go live June 28. Future episodes will feature Trip Richards, Gilbert Man, Luke Hudson, Micah Martinez, Jamie French, Jenna Creed and more.
