HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—Adam & Eve recently held one of its annual in-house fundraisers, an auction of the company department heads in which employees can bid on the managers for four hours of their time to do chores, and other things. This year’s “Manager Auction” was designed to raise funds for Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation (CHBCF) in North Carolina.
“Cancer is one of the most important causes out there to support, so we try to do as much as we can to help,” said Chad Davis, director of marketing for Adam & Eve (and one of the auctionees). “Cancer research is getting further along each and every day, and if our contributions can help find a cure that much faster, the world, and our local community, will be a better place.”
Adam & Eve has about a dozen managers of company departments who were auctioned. Each person was won for an average of more than $100 to a lucky employee, which was then matched by the company. In addition, several loose donations were given as well, raising the grand total to nearly $5,400.
