CANOGA PARK, Calif.—Zero Tolerance Entertainment, an innovator in the adult video industry since its inception in 2002, is forging ahead into new territory, signing its first-ever distribution partnership. Beginning this month and continuing over the course of a multi-year contract, Zero Tolerance will handle DVDs and broadcast deals for Twistys Video, which will feature content from the website Twistys.com.
The deal has been in the making for more than a year. When choosing an online partner, said Zero Tolerance president and founder Greg Alves, the company “looked for some other product that complemented what we did, but not directly competing.”
Twistys.com, long recognized as one of the premier online adult membership sites, has been shooting original content since its formation in 2001. The popular glamour site features more than 2,000 models, and the variety of content that large pool of talent offers was not lost on Alves.
“Because of the brand, the quality of the content, I was a fan of their website before and was familiar with what they did and what they shot, and their access to a different set of girls,” Alves said. Many of the Twistys performers—especially those who appear in the solo-girl scenes—are new to the business.
The site’s popular Twistys Treat of the Month has become hardcore’s equivalent of the Penthouse Pet of the Month. Notes Alves, “It’s a new girl, somebody who’s not in a lot of stuff.” Recent treats have included a German (Franziska Facella), a Hungarian (Dorothy Green) and two Americans (Talia Shepard and new Bluebird contract girl Madelyn Marie).
“Over the years we’ve compiled an impressive library of scenes—literally, thousands of them,” explained Twistys founder Shap. “We’ve been wanting to release these [scenes] on DVD and broadcast formats for some time but just weren’t able to find the right distribution partner. Now, in partnering with Greg [Alves] and Zero Tolerance, we feel confident that the Twistys brand will reach its full global distribution potential.”
In addition to the flagship Twistys.com URL, the company has a number of other sites, including NaughtyStaff.com, SexTube.com, TeenPinkVideos.com, EuroFoxes.com, BustyOnes.com and BigBreastLovers.com.
The first Twistys DVD to be distributed by Zero Tolerance was released April 23. Titled Members Only, it features compilation footage shot for the web; 2010 AVN Best New Starlet Kagney Linn Karter is the cover girl. Also of interest to aficionados will be the Twisty Treats series, the first of which will be released May 7 with Lindsey Marie on the box cover.
A second DVD, Naughty Staff, will come out May 21. The “employee of the month” is Bree Olson; also misbehaving are Rebeca Linares, Maya Gates, Beverly Hills and Mariah Milano. Next month will see the release of Busty Solos on June 6.
