Zaye Entertainment recently bought the Craven Moorehead directed Rectal Rooter series, which was carried by Celestial Productions. As part of the deal, Zaye also acquired the corresponding Website, RectalRooter.com.
“We had the opportunity to pick the series up and I loved the idea and felt it would make a great addition to our catalog,” Richie Zaye, co-owner of Zaye Entertainment told AVN.com.
The Rectal Rooter series has four volumes, the last of which was released in VHS format in October of 2002. Zaye intends releasing the DVD version of Rectal Rooter #4 on September 9 and will start shooting Rectal Rooter #5, which he will direct himself, in the middle of this month with plans for an October release.
“I’m going to keep the same concept going – though I’ll probably add in a few more characters. There’s a lot of plumbing that needs to be done,” Zaye said of the future of the anal comedy.
Zaye, who also directs Pussy Foot’N and Tranny Hunter, intends on creating another anal comedy called Butt Plumbers, which will have more of a gonzo-reality feel compared to the vignette stylings of Rector Rooters.
All Zaye Entertainment titles are distributed by New Sensations.
