Your Schwartz Are Showing

"When all things are said and done, when I'm long dead in the grave...I will be remembered as the kid in The Toy and the kid in A Christmas Story. That's what people will always remember me as."

So says Scotty Schwartz in the April issue of Detour Magazine. Schwartz is not so much interviewed by credited writer Susannah Breslin than what amounts to giving a deposition in an autobiography case. The one-page article on Schwartz runs as a solid quote with such Scottoids thrown in - that he was born in Sacramento in 1968; did over 150 commercials for products such as Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Yoo-Hoo; did off Broadway; had a financial advisor do him in; did a wonderful impersonation of Jackie Gleason which got him in with the Great One; got into the adult industry largely through Ron Jeremy, and we use the word largely in only the nicest sense; that his first adult movie was Beauty and the Beast Part II; that he bombed as a sex performer in Scotty's X-Rated Adventure and feels that it's a "loss and a crime" that E! True Hollywood Story hasn't done a piece on him; oh, and that he feels Hollywood agencies like CAA or ICM are "pimps".

"I went from somebody who possibly had the potential of being a major player to just a regular guy working a job," Schwartz says. Well, not just a regular guy. In his own words, Schwartz is now a "glorifed pimp" himself.
