Your Chance To Support Free Sexual Speech in D.C.

SILVER SPRING, Md.—Want a chance to see two sex-positive performers strut their stuff in support of free speech? Well, come on down to the Woodhull Freedom Foundation's "Night to Remember" on Saturday, Jan. 23, for an evening celebration of sexual freedom with Good Vibrations' Dr. Carol Queen performing PEEP SHOW, her solo spoken-word piece about working at San Francisco's famed Lusty Lady theatre as a professional Real Live Nude Girl, and award-winning porn star Nina Hartley, who's currently in rehearsals for "The Vagina Monologues," sharing a private performance from the show!

The event will be preceded by a champagne reception, where attendees will get a chance to meet and mingle one on one with Nina and Carol and the board and staff of Woodhull, along with some elected and hoping-to-be-elected local officials in the Virginia/D.C. area.

Admission to the reception is $100, payable in advance. You can start drinking at 6:30, but don't get so giddy that you miss Carol and Nina's public performance, which begins in the same venue—you'll be told where in Silver Spring to go when you pay the admission—at 8 p.m. An additional $20 donation is suggested for the performance, but all donations will be accepted.

They tell us that space is limited, so be sure to RSVP to find out where to go.

The donations will go to support both the Woodhull Freedom Foundation and the Haitian relief effort through Partners in Health—and if you can't get to the reception and/or performance, you can still donate to Woodhull here.

A good time is sure to be had by all... and how can you pass up seeing Nina Hartley give her interpretation of Eve Ensler's classic? After all, who knows more about vaginas than Nina Hartley?
