Mara Epstein got a surprise phone call the other day from financier J.P. Lipson. Lipson is suing Epstein's former employer Mark Kreloff, CEO of New Frontier Media. Epstein blurted out to Lipson, "You're the pig farmer!" Pig farmer is the nickname Lipson's acquired in press accounts of his legal battles with Kreloff. Lipson acquired much of his $500 million fortune through agricultural, thus the pig farmer sobriquet.
"Pig farmer was the first thing that came to my mind," said Epstein. Everybody had a good laugh, though Lipson's attorneys promised to stay in close touch with Epstein.
