You're a Real LULU, You SOBs!

The Lincoln City Council wants to tell adult businesses - like exotic dance clubs and others - "You SOBs are real LULUs!" As in "locally unacceptable land uses" involving sexually-oriented businesses, the latest bid by Nebraska's state capital to put the clampdown on the sex industry. nrnThe council has ordered Lincoln Planning Director Kathleen Sellman to propose zoning and licensing requirements for sex businesses, which would let the city limit them from certain areas, but not exactly everywhere, and to meet "certain time, place and manner restrictions," according to the Lincoln Journal-Star. nrnCity Councilman Jonathan Cook says zoning regulations on topless clubs would not push them on the county as a public nudity ban does, and could also keep topless bars out from near neighborhoods. "The zoning approach is much more comprehensive," he told the newspaper. nrnOn the other hand, a fellow Councilman, Jerry Shoecraft, wonders whether the idea is superfluous - because, he says, nobody wants an SOB next to them.
