Xplor Media Group, distributors of the popular Homegrown Video series, has completed the acquisition of the entire Limelight Video content library, as well as all trademarks and rights to Limelight Productions and related properties.
Xplor Media will continue to distribute the series under the Limelight brand name in order to capitalize on the existing market recognition of the award-nominated series.
"Our goal is to use the brand name to feature high quality amateur productions as a way to put our best Homegrown material in the 'limelight,'" said Xplor owner Moffitt.
The purchase includes the entire video series of 13 titles and the raw footage, including all still photos, to 55 scenes and all existing inventory of the series.
Limelight was nominated for Best Amateur Release and Best Amateur Series for the 2006 AVN Awards.
Additionally Xplor has taken over the web-related properties at the domains www.limelightgirls.com, www.lustinvegas.com, www.limelightproductions.tv, and www.limelightvod.com which currently directs users to a Limelight video section of Hotmovies.com.
Xplor Media is the distributor of Homegrown Video, "world's longest running porn series" according to Newsweek magazine. Homegrown Video features homemade amateur adult entertainment sent in by people all over the world. It has been profiled extensively on mainstream television from ABC's "20/20" to "Larry King Live" and more.
Xplor also distributes over a dozen amateur niche series.
