Adult DVD rental and sales house XRentDVD.com has bulked up their library of porn to 20,000 titles, the company announced.
After starting with 155 titles in his garage back in 1999, founder Chris Watanabe recently stocked Zero Tolerance’s Double Decker Sandwich 6, which turned out to be the milestone title.
“We’re growing at such a rapid rate despite ourselves, it’s somewhat difficult to imagine where we could go from my garage to where we are now,” Watanabe told AVNOnline.com.
“I’m glad we’re able to satisfy the customers’ demands and I have no doubt we’ll continue doing what we’re doing. At this rate, 30,000 titles don’t seem that far off.”
To celebrate the current plateau, the company is offering Double Decker Sandwich 6, which features Lanny Barby and Austin Kincaid and is directed by Mike Quasar,as a free weekly rental indefinitely.
XRentDVD.com currently offers more than 300 video lines and averages about 500 new titles a month.
Such growth has the company primed to move into a new, larger facility and has increased their employee base to 30. Consumers will also see increased services and marketing efforts from XRentDVD.com.
As for the future, Watanabe is contemplating the move into Video-on-Demand (VoD).
“I’ve seen a few of the technologies out there and I suppose it would be a natural transition for rental customers to move over to a VoD platform, but I’m not convinced yet. It’s definitely something I’m keeping my eye on,” he said.
