PORTLAND, Ore.—Five veteran reviewers from respected adult journal XCritic.com have been invited to serve as voters for the 2011 AVN Awards. Houston Don, Dr. Jay, The Moonite, Apache Warrior and editor Christopher Thorne were all selected by AVN to participate in the 2011 AVN Awards voting.
"We have tremendous respect for AVN and the AVN Awards and are excited to be adding our voice to the selection process," Thorne said.
The AVN awards opened the pre-nomination site for studios, distributors and retailers on September 1. Information on gaining access to the pre-nom site is detailed here. Pre-nominations run through 5pm October 1. Voting occurs in November, with the awards presented on January 8, 2011 at the Pearl Concert Theatre inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
"XCritic is one of the most respected consumer adult review sites out there and they are known for being brutally honest in their reviews. We felt they were a perfect fit for our awards," said AVN founder Paul Fishbein.
XCritic.com is no stranger to the AVN Awards and Adult Entertainment Expo. Since its launch, XCritic has covered the show with comprehensive coverage including porn star interviews that have received over 100,000 views on YouTube.
