Radio's debut CD, Romance, will also serve as a soundtrack for Getting Lucky, the new gay porn video from Citiboyz Video.
"It's a little unorthodox for a band to be publicizing themselves with a porn video," says Debra Ruff, the band's manager, "but Richard (Ray, the band's leader and producer) has a pretty clear vision of what his music is. Besides, the traffic on the Website has been huge, so who can argue?"
"This is a perfect match for us," says Ray. "Our music doesn't just insinuate sex, like Madonna's or Ricky Martin's. It is sex. I could care less whether people dance to it; I want people naked when they hear my stuff."
Featuring both vocal and instrumental selections, Romance will be released in June, and a limited number of MP3 collections will be distributed through the ambient pop band's Website (www.geocities.com/colorboxfan) until then at discounted prices, the band says.
