If you're on the business side of adult entertainment, Women in Adult wants you…to consider going for open slots on the new group's board of directors.
The group is seeking a communications director, a creative director, a membership/recruitment director, and an events coordinator, but founder/chairman Holly Moss said the members – including president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer – wouldn't be identified until after the full board is elected.
And you don't have to wait for someone else to nominate you. All you have to do is visit the XBiz.com message board and put your own name into the drum.
You don't even have to be a woman to put your name up for the board. WIA says it's open to anyone "regardless of gender, preference, etc.," and promises members "access to people, companies, agencies, resources, and job opportunities through out networking events, chat boards, and strong community of professionals."
Founder/chairman Holly Moss said WIA is looking toward having regular board meeting, possibly on a monthly basis. "I think LA is a big enough place where a lot of the adult industry is, I think all of us in positions have a lot of skills we can offer one another," she told AVN.com. "I would like to have seminars. If its ways you can maximize traffic or billing, whatever our skills are, or if you are starting out and how you should go about opening a Website, I think L.A. is big enough that we can have meetings like that."
The results will be announced October 1 and the first full board meeting after that vote will be October 3.
