Sherryl Reeves, a mother of three, was shocked to discover that her ‘blank’ tape she had purchased was full of porn.
Reeves had purchased two blank Maxonic Gold High Grade videotapes, packaged and sealed, from the Family Dollar outlet in her area. "When we turned on the cassette to record a TV program we couldn't believe what we were seeing," Reeves told the Northwest Indiana Times. "It was appalling to discover what you thought was a sealed product was something that obviously had been tampered with."
Reeves hopes that officials will investigate the matter to prevent it from happening again. She is holding off from returning the videos until the district manager views part of the tape.
Family Dollar officials have decided to remove all of the Maxonic videotapes from shelves in the company's Cedar Lake outlet.
