Woman: Ex-Fiance E-Mailed Nudes of Her

A Cook County woman has sued her former fiancé, who's been accused of e-mailing her co-workers nude images of her and claiming she posed for pay to become a prostitute.

The filing offered few details about the woman other than her foreign birth and her work as a research technician, according to the Chicago Tribune, which quoted her attorney as saying she was concerned not to have her identity made public.

But the newspaper did say the woman identified only as a Jane Doe accuses her former fiancé of coercing her into letting him take nude, intimate pictures of her, after she flew to Georgia to stay with the man to whom her parents arranged an engagement last year. They had met several times despite the distance, the Tribune said, and the fiancé promised he wouldn't develop the photos without her presence or show them to anyone else.

But the newspaper said the woman's suit also charges that her parents discovered the man having an affair with another woman, informed his parents, and the engagement was ended. But when the woman called him, he threatened to destroy her life, the suit charges, a threat he's accused of carrying out June 24 when he e-mailed her friend a file containing five nudes of the woman and an accusation that she posed for money and planned to become a prostitute.
