CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Wicked Pictures has green-lit a sequel to The Housewives of Amber Lane, last year's MILF hit starring AVN Hall of Famer Amber Lynn.
Wicked contract man Randy Spears will once again direct, with Lynn returning as the star of the show. Brad Armstrong will replace Evan Stone in the role of Lynn's husband; the supporting cast includes India Summers, Angie Savage, and Spears in the role of the neighborhood voyeur.
The first Amber Lane feature was originally planned as a so-called "cougar" movie. Spears didn't understand the older woman/younger man format implied by "cougar," so he was forced to change the title during production; when the legendary Lynn joined the cast, Wicked found the perfect hook for the project.
"The first movie was so successful in so many areas that Wicked decided to go ahead and do Part 2," Spears told AVN. "Amber and I are old friends, and we work well together in any capacity. She brings a lot of good energy and a ton of experience to the table, and it was interesting to see the younger people feeding off that energy. I'm looking forward to Part 2, and I hope it will be as fun to shoot as the first one."
Lynn took a break from the industry this fall following the death of her older brother and fellow AVN Hall of Fame legend, Buck Adams. She looks forward to starting 2009 with the new project.
"This will be my first big effort to get back in the saddle after the shock over the sudden, tragic loss of my big bro in October," Lynn told AVN. "Randy and I threw around some ideas on how we could make it even better than the first movie, including bringing in Wicked's own Brad Armstrong in a co-starring role. I loved the idea! Brad and I had a pretty torrid, tawdry exchange some years ago, and have remained great friends through the years. I love Wicked Pictures and everyone over there; it's always a class operation with them."
Lynn recently wrapped an appearance in a documentary about "life after porn" that will air on HBO.
"The mainstream project even includes pieces from my brother's memorial," Lynn said. "I thought it was the best way to honor my brother, as he was so proud of being Buck Adams. I also plan on dusting off my feet and getting back behind the camera to produce and direct. Lastly, I have been invited to help out and co-host XRCO as the original Heart-On Girl, and it looks very good."
Housewives of Amber Lane 2 begins shooting in late February. Lynn is fielding offers for projects through her own agency, and can be reached at [email protected].
