CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Wicked Pictures and contract director David Stanley have parted ways after three years together. According to both parties, the split was amicable.
Heth Mares, Wicked Pictures' publicist, told AVN, "We've had a great three years, but contracts don't last forever. We adore David and we had a great three years. We wish him the best of luck."
Contacted later, Stanley said, "It's a mutual parting of the ways. I'm happy about it. I'm walking out with a nice severance package, all my movies and references from Wicked Pictures. Everyone over at Wicked has been real nice to me."
Stanley went on to say that as a free agent, he'll be able to develop his own projects. He said, "I'm going to stay away from contracts now. I want to do things my way or not all. I'd love to work with SexZ Pictures or Joanna Angel...and I'm a fan of Hustler and Kick Ass Pictures."
The director also told AVN that he was working on a web project as well. "Ryder Skye and I are collaborating on something for Clips4Sale. We're going to really go for it. I'm dipping my toes into the technological waters. I want to be ahead of the curve. It's all good. It's a rebirth."
Stanley's recent Wicked Pictures features include Carmen Goes South and Lady of the Evening.
