Wicked Pictures will release itsr latest big-budget feature, the Michael Raven helmed sci-fi title, The Visitors, on July 26. Raven has been celebrated for several of his past titles, including Beautiful and Breathless.
“I’m very happy with the way The Visitors turned out…as a matter of fact, I think that it’s the best stuff I’ve ever done,” Raven told AVN.com. “I’m just grateful for being given the chance to shoot it.
“[Wicked Pictures President] Steve [Orenstein] took a big chance on the subject matter, and I think it will pay off.”
The Visitors stars box cover girl Keri Sable (who has left the business) and Kimberly Kane as sisters who find themselves faced with the shocking reality that a string of disappearances in their small desert town is linked to mysterious visitors.
As city investigators scramble to unravel the modern day alien invasion, the two sisters discover that there is no escape from the otherworldly beings.
Raven said that the initial idea of doing a title based on paranormal activity stemmed from personal experience. “I’m not saying that I’ve ever been abducted or anything, but it was more about having things move around in the middle of the night, that sort of thing,” Raven explained. “I’m also extremely interested in reading or watching anything about the paranormal.”
Raven said that the movie was shot last summer in the Mojave Desert. “It was six full days of shooting, but it took us about a month to complete the whole thing, because we had to deal with all different kinds of issues, like bad weather. Also, the whole movie was shot at night, so we’d start shooting late in the evening…it was pretty brutal.”
Alongside Sable and Kane in the title are Wicked contract star Kirsten Price, Avena Lee, Cassie Courtland, Frankee D, Eric Masterson, Barrett Blade, Evan Stone, Chris Evans and Marcus Leon.
Raven said that he thinks the story of a small desert town being invaded by aliens and the inclusion of adult content coupled together nicely. “The structure I settled on with The Visitors was to first tell a story, and ultimately when you tell a story, sex often comes into the picture.”
The Visitors will come in a two-disc collector's edition, the first disc featuring the full movie, as well as commentary with Raven, Price, Kane and Lee. The second disc features two bonus sex scenes with Sable, Price and Kane, as well as a still gallery, an Area 69 trivia game, an interview with Raven, lost footage, deleted scenes and a music video.
