Weiss, Avalon and Love Featured in TV News Report

Harry Weiss, industry publicist and talent manager, performer Brianna Love and director James Avalon will be featured in a news report to be aired on the 60 television stations owned by or affiliated with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, beginning tonight.

Weiss, along with Red Light District contract performer Love and the Red Light Films director Avalon, were in Los Angeles interviewed via satellite by Baltimore-based television anchor Morris Jones about the mainstreaming of the adult film industry. The program is also scheduled to air on the Sinclair’s news Website this week, www.newscentral.tv.

“The fact that we were on the air with this anchorman from Sinclair shows how mainstream the adult industry has gotten,” Weiss said.

“People are more accepting of it now than they used to be and even the people that criticize it know about it because they see the videos and see what they don’t like about it,”

While the right-leaning Sinclair was embroiled in a controversy in 2004 when it refused to air an ad by the Democratic National Committee criticizing President Bush over the Iraq war, Weiss said the interview went smoothly and without attacks on the industry or controversy.

“We got the chance to send our message out there that the adult industry is a business and that we’re like anyone. We pay taxes and support our families,” he said.

“Programs like Inside Edition would ambush us and push an agenda whenever they did a report on the industry, but I didn’t get that feeling here.”
