Webmaster Access East Finds a Home

After the success of this year’s Webmaster Access East, due largely to the hospitality provided by locals, organizers have announced that it will return again next year to the city.

“The companies here have been great and want to bring us back,” event organizer Eric Matis said.

Larger than last year’s networking event in Montreal, Webmaster Access East ’06 provided much of what attendees have come to expect. The show is centered around seminars and, of course, parties.

As such, the final day of the event started a little late for a lot of the attendees after the previous night’s party at Panorama, hosted by Python and organized by Odie.

Friday’s seminars focused on billing and content. The latter seminar, which actually kicked off the day, focused on equipment and stylizing website content.

As an added bonus – or annoyance, depending upon one’s perspective – a camera crew from the adult-industry-focused documentary WebDreams followed various members of Montreal’s adult industry around…at parties, in seminars, strolling through the lobby, etc. One of those, photographer Vid Vicious, admitted the cameras could get a little intrusive in his private life.

However, no one seemed terribly surprised about anything that went down at the event, which will conclude Friday night with Platinum Bucks, SexSearch, and National Net’s party at Mink.

Just another day in the life of an online pornographer, I suppose.

Webmaster Access will hit Europe next, Sept. 16-18, in Amsterdam.
