Director Mike South’s new DVD, South Pole Invasion, is a comedy documenting a typical day in the life of a porn shoot that features the music of rock band Wank Punter.
Set for a mid-November release, the video stars Felicia Fox, Tim Case, South and a bevy of Canadian starlets making their debuts. South Pole Invasion is reminiscent of the old 70’s sitcom "Love American Style," only hardcore and without a script.
Wank Punter performs the theme song of the video called "South Pole Boogie." The group is described as a cross between ZZ Top and Frank Zappa.
“We wanted to approach a new generation of potential porn enthusiasts by using music/comedy/humor as a creative bridge,” said South Pole Invasion producer Marshall Stack.
“We believe that this product will attract the next generation of consumers based upon its exceptional entertainment value."
Moreover, for a limited time only, each DVD was also include a audio CD from the band. The full-length CD is comprised of 13 songs, six of which were utilized in the feature.
South shot the video on location in Toronto and Las Vegas. He said what makes the video special is that all of the hilarious, off-the-cuff tidbits and bloopers remain in the video.
RA Media will be distributing South Pole Invasion.
