Vivid's 'Throat' Doesn't Suck

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Vivid Entertainment's Throat: A Cautionary Tale is deeper and far darker than the 1972 X-rated classic that provided its famous inspiration.

Directed by Paul Thomas and starring Sasha Grey, the big-budget reinterpretation of Gerard Damiano's Deep Throat has scored AVN's highest rating.

Like the original film, Vivid's Throat involves the sexual exploits of a woman who discovers that her clitoris is located in a curious place...but that's the only element this movie shares with Damiano's low-budget comedy.

Throat: A Cautionary Tale is slated for March release. To read AVN's exclusive, advance review with all the dirty details, click here.

World of Wonder's "Deeper Throat," a reality series about the making of the Vivid production, will premiere Feb. 14 on Showtime.
