Vivid Entertainment Group has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for its home video and DVD products in Canada with Mile High of Montreal. The new distribution company will be named Vivid Canada, Inc.
Vivid Canada will distribute Vivid's releases and specialty videos from other studios to mail order, retail and wholesale online channels.
“We’ve been in business since 1989 so we’ve had plenty of time to learn exactly what the Canadian customer wants,” said Ted Blitt of Mile High. “The partnership with Vivid makes perfect sense – Vivid is a high profile and absolutely trustworthy brand and meets all Canadian standards. We will add other content as appropriate, so we’ll have a very well-rounded mix of products to offer under the Vivid Canada brand and we’ll have total penetration of the market.”
Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid, said, “Mile High is the cream of the crop in Canada, so we're obviously delighted to be working with them. Canada is an excellent market for us and we believe our new partnership will quickly come to symbolize the best in adult entertainment.”
The agreement was brokered by international adult business broker Todd Blatt of Antigua Pictures, Inc., who has worked with both Hirsch and Blitt on various projects over the years.
