Anticipated for long enough, Vivid Video officially launched their new adult Webmaster affiliate program, VividCash, August 7, almost a week after they made what they call a "soft" launch at the Beta test level at last weekend's Internext show in Florida.
VividCash arrives six months after Vivid and Wequest, Inc. cut a deal to manage Vivid's online operations, including the creation and planning of VividCash, the company said August 7 announcing the launch.
"We carefully took into consideration all of the feedback we have received from Webmasters about conversion rates, updates, marketing tools, and the stats detail they need to help maximize their traffic and their bottom line," said Vivid marketing manager Leslie Sharp in her announcement. "I truly believe every Webmaster that signs up for our program will be as satisfied and excited about the program as we are. We’re raising the bar and setting a new standard of expectations."
Sharp said she spent a lot of time on the Internet's Webmaster resource and discussion boards paying particular attention to complaints about affiliate programs. "The biggest complain was, programs don't (work to) retain, the chargebacks go up, the payouts go down, and there's a lot of programs out there that don't care about their members section as they should," she told AVN Online.
VividCash is hoping that problem won't be their problem – they plan daily content updates with exclusive content, "the best feeds we can offer," and continuously adding content.
Vivid's brand is already powerful enough, between the famed Vivid Girls, their premium adult videos, films, Websites, and live online feeds. Now the company is banking on a Webmaster affiliate program paying up to $35 per join or 60 percent revenue sharing, depending on the programs Webmasters choose to promote, without deductions.
"There's about more than ten new features released every month," said Sharp, who joined Vivid in May and went to work immediately on bringing off what turned into VividCash. "And all the picture galleries, all the behind-the-scenes (material), all the on-the-set scenes, are constantly being uploaded. We have such an abundance of content."
