Vivid Hawks Their Wares on Sunset Strip

After ClubJenna and Vivid established a billboard campaign in New York just outside of Times Square, Vivid Entertainment Group decided to launch another billboard campaign at one of the West Coast's high-traffic centers, the Sunset Strip.

Starting tomorrow, Vivid will have two billboards atop the Rainbow Bar & Grill, a well-known establishment that is a frequent hang-out for celebrities, for the next six months to a year. One billboard faces east, the other west.

The billboard facing west is advertising Jenna Jameson’s new movie for Vivid, a remake of the classic adult title The Masseuse. The film is to be directed by AVN Award winning director Paul Thomas, who also directed the original.

On the flip side of the Jameson image will be a billboard of Vivid Girl Tera Patrick in a photo adapted from the cover of her blockbuster new video, Tera, Tera, Tera, the first non-Jameson billboard during the company's recent use of billboards.

The billboards are located in the center of what is known as the Sunset Strip, a segment of Sunset Boulevard that is known for its nightlife, but also sees heavy traffic throughout the day.

Vivid erected its first billboards on Sunset Boulevard in the 1990s and the company created a major stir again last year when billboards featuring Vivid Girls advertising Pony sportswear sprouted atop the Roxy nightclub, just down the block from the Rainbow.
