LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment has called for an immediate stop to distribution in all forms of Mindy McCready: Baseball Mistress in the wake of yesterday's news that the country singer had been found dead in her Arkansas home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"The situation surrounding Mindy's death is so tragic and sad," Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch told AVN. "We decided to stop marketing her tape as a gesture of respect."
The McCready video was still available on Vivid.com as of post time, but according to a report by TMZ, the studio plans to remove it as soon as possible.
Mindy McCready: Baseball Mistress was released in April 2010 after McCready's stint on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew and her reported affairs with celebrities including actor Dean Cain and baseball star Roger Clemens.
