LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment reports that it has been approached with a sex tape purportedly featuring Aussie rap sensation Iggy Azalea with an ex-boyfriend. But according to TMZ, reps for Azalea say the woman in the tape is not the "Fancy" star.
Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said in a press statement that he was shown a "teaser" of images from the alleged tape by a third party who claims to represent an individual holding rights to it.
"Iggy is definitely the hottest female rapper today," Hirsch commented. "I believe there would be a huge demand for her sex tape. If there is any tape out there that can rival that of Kim Kardashian, this one is it."
He continued, "We are conducting our due dilligence and if we are satisfied with our review, we will definitely try to make a deal to distribute the tape."
The only problem is, as TMZ put it, "Iggy's camp says Hirsch's eyes are playing tricks on him. They tell us I-G-G-Y is not the chick on vid doing the dirty ... and they're ready to sue over the alleged footage."
Notorious celebrity sex tape broker Kevin Blatt echoed this assessment, telling AVN, "It's bullshit. [Azalea's] ex-boyfriend allegedly is trying to sell it. Lawyers say it's not her, but even if it is, she is underage. Without 2257 Hirsch can't do anything with it. End of story."
UPDATE: Iggy Azalea herself issued a few comments about this matter via her Twitter feed Thursday afternoon. In a series of tweets, Azalea chided, "Obviously I've seen the news feed today and I just want to say ... I don't have a sex a tape but for the record ... Anyone who releases or attempts to make profit off someone else's intimate moments against their will is a sex offender. [And] it honestly makes me sick to see the media encourage any other attitude towards these sorts of people, we should want to protect our women and I really hope that America will follow Europe and their laws to better protect people's privacy and fundamental rights. And on that note, I'm off to get a manicure. peaaaaccceeeeeee outtttttt *drops the mic*"
