Vivid, Avatar Press Unveil First Collectors' Issue of New Vivid Comix Graphic Novels

Vivid Entertainment Group has announced that Vivid Girls Volume 1, the premiere collectors' issue of a 48-page graphic novel series that features stunning illustrations of the Vivid Girls by top comic artists, is now available.

Leading artists Marco Turini, Carlos Ferreira and Juan Jose Ryp contribute to the first issue which features Vivid Girls Jenna Jameson, Briana Banks, Sunrise Adams, Savanna Samson, Mercedez and Tawny Roberts.

The adults-only book is printed on glossy paper and includes three separate stories by celebrated comic book writers Steven Grant and Antony Johnston.

The Vivid Comix series was created and published by Vivid licensee Avatar Press and is available at comic stores and adult retailers nationwide or online at www.vividcomix.com. Suggested retail price is $14.99 per issue.

"The full-color art is sexy and dazzling and the erotic stories are more exciting than anything ever before seen in a graphic novel," said William Christensen, president of Avatar Press.

The initial story in Vivid Girls Volume 1 is "Dry Heat," written by Grant with original art by Turini, in which Adams, Mercedez and Banks pull off an elaborate scam in Las Vegas. In "White Light," written by Johnston and drawn by Ferreira, Samson is on a quest to save the one man who holds the key to stopping a war between heaven and hell. Johnston also wrote "Spellbound," in which Jameson and Roberts star in a sensual medieval adventure.

"Writing and art by the very best creators in the graphic novel field has paid off and the result is highest quality adult comic work ever produced," Christensen said. "The premium, oversized format has made it a true collectors' treasure."

Avatar Press, which has published over 300 comic books since 1997, has carved a niche for itself as a comic book publisher that pushes the boundaries between mainstream and independent.
