EVE Interactive thinks consumers are bored with porn movies, so they’ve decided to let them make their own.
Socially challenged? Don’t worry, the girls are virtual. Consumers buy them and then direct them with the company’s Virtual EVE.
“You plop an adult movie in the DVD player, hit play, and just sit there and passively watch,” said Evan Sexton, public relations director for EVE Interactive. “People are ready for something more interactive. They’re tired of being passive observers; they want to be active participants.”
It’s not exactly a video game, since there’s no goal at stake. The company is calling Virtual EVE “a real-time sex simulator.” Users can choose the sexual position, camera position, and direction, all in real-time 3D graphics.
“I’m very proud of the final product that our team has produced; it has passed what our beta testers refer to as the all-important 'hard-on' test,” Sexton said.
The company plans to release further virtual girl products in early 2006.
