Porn star Jon Vincent was found dead at a friend's apartment here the morning of May 4. The apparent cause of death was a heroin overdose, although a large quantity of Valium was found in his stomach as well.
The death of the late-30-something gay porn star is likely to be ruled a suicide, according to one published report. His Website (www.JonVincent.com) is now offline as well.
Vincent first made a hit in the porn world in the InHand feature Heavenly in 1988. The Adam Gay Video Directory of 1994 noted Vincent had bowed out of filmmaking to battle alcoholism, then returned in 1993.
"Behind the scenes, he is still know as an over-the-top sort of guy who can sometimes strike terror into the hearts of mild-mannered directors, but almost always gives impassioned performances," said the guide.
