LOS ANGELES—In a significant step toward providing adult performers with the same rights Republicans want for zygotes, Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe told TwinCities.com that he identifies porn stars as people. The comment came during an interview that touched on the newest athletes-shagging-porn-stars controversy that started with the release of photos showing a shirtless New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski along with Digital Playground’s star Bibi Jones wearing his jersey.
"What's the big deal about Gronkowski taking a picture with a porn star,” Kluwe said. “They're people, and fans, too."
That’s actually two zingers in one, because acknowledging porn stars as fans is an even greater leap than acknowledging them as people. We have come a long way, baby.
Of course, Bibi Jones, who seems to be hitting every sports media outlet in the nation, is making a name for herself as an unabashed sports groupie extraordinaire.
The beautiful 20-year-old blonde told sports radio hosts Josh Innes and Rich Lord this morning that she did not have sex with Gronkowski, who is not married, though she wanted to. She also spoke about her many liaisons with athletes, including watching one of movies with six or seven of them, though she has decided to refrain from mentioning any new names.
She also once again refuted the sticky allegation that Arizona-based sports agent Terry Bross “used her” to target new clients, though she did admit to having sex with up to ten professional athletes introduced to her by him, including former Florida Marlin and current Atlanta Brave second baseman Dan Uggla, who she said told her he was divorced when he was actually married.
“I feel really bad about that because he always told me that he was divorced,” she said. “And then when I came out and said it, I found out that he was married, so…”
“You didn’t know at the time?”
“No, he always said that he was divorced.”
“He didn’t have a ring on?”
“Nope.”
“Hmm…”
When asked if she would have fooled around with the athletes if she had known they were married, Bibi responded, “Sometimes married men can be the best men because there are no attachments.”
“You realize that every married woman listening right now would like to strangle you.”
“Yeah, and I don’t care, because if you’re not giving it to your man then he has every right to go somewhere else and look for it.”
“Wouldn’t the right thing to do be to get out of the marriage before you go do something like that? But you’re okay with being married while banging someone else.”
“Yeah, the right thing to do is to get a divorce if you’re not happy in your marriage, but not everyone does the right thing.”
Despite the at-times tough questioning, radio hosts Josh and Rich are big fans of Bibi’s and mentioned as much several times during the 8-minute interview. It was clear to this listener that they, like Chris Kluwe, think of Bibi Jones as a person and not just a porn star. It should also be noted, however, that while Kluwe asserted the personhood of porn stars, he also said he did now know if he has any porn star fans.
