NEW YORK - Video-X-Pix has signed a deal with Netherlands-based Your Choice Distributions to bring the U.S. company's classic porn catalog to the European market.
Founded by Arthur Morowitz of the '60s New York sexploitation outfit Distribpix, Video-X-Pix offers an impressive library of '70s and '80s hardcore features such as Inside Seka, Angel Buns and Tigresses. Son Steven Morowitz now runs the label with his business partner Jamie Horne.
"We originally met up with Your Choice at the Venus Fair," Morowitz told AVN. "We've been going to the show for four years with the goal of securing European distribution for our Golden Age classics. A lot of our movies played theatrically in Germany, Sweden, Holland and other European countries, so there's a big market for them. Your Choice was really excited about the product, but we waited a while before making it final."
The agreement gives Your Choice exclusive European distribution rights to the Video-X-Pix catalog for one year.
“Through our work in the retail sector, we’ve found that there is a great demand for these movies and in Europe, it’s often quite difficult for consumers to find films like this,” said Your Choice spokesperson Jacco Kwakkel . “One of the great draws for these films is, of course, the stars. The American adult actresses of yesteryear like Seka, Annie Sprinkle, and Annette Haven are really singular in their beauty and performances.”
