Vertigo Video shot three movies in five days last week as it prepares to increase its release schedule to four titles per month.
"We're at that place where we have started to create a fan base and now we have to start giving them what they want and in a little bit more quantity," Vertigo co-owner T.J. DiReda said. "We've come to realize that we have people liking our stuff, and we want to give them what they want in every niche."
During the three-day stretch, Vertigo captured scenes for Tonsil Hockey, Sweet Tarts 2 and a yet-to-be-titled, all-natural, big tit line. They also shot Pie in the Face a week earlier at various locations in Beverly Hills.
This month the company is planning to drop SombreHos, Hit It and Quit It and Girth, Wind and Fire, while March's releases will include F to the A 2, Rock Hard 2, Gob Swappers and Kung Pao Kitty.
SombreHos, which hits the street on Feb. 7, is a six-scene all-Latin title that stars Paola Rey, Kat, Jennifer Luv, Chanel Chavez, Sativa Rose, Piper Austin and Dolce. Girth, Wind and Fire, which will be released on Valentine's Day, is a six-scene, interracial d.p. video that features Gia Paloma, Mandy Bright, Vanilla Skye, Deja Daire and Makayla Coxxx.
Hit It and Quit It (Feb. 28), which has a "female domination" theme, includes scenes with AVN's Female Performer of the Year Lauren Phoenix, Samantha Ryan, Naudia Nyce, Kelly Kline, Lena Julliett and Brooke.
"After Hit and Quit It, we're revving up to four titles a month going into March," DiReda continued. "We decided to take Vertigo in a unique and specific direction with the hardcore. We're taking the approach of making it sort of female friendly, and a lot of buyers and distributors made it clear that nobody has attacked that niche."
DiReda revealed that the company is considering starting a harder label for Vertigo that would move away from its mission statement of making "female-friendly gonzo." The harder imprint would entail content such as blow-bangs, throat-gagging and cum-swapping. Vertigo recently shot Monica Mayhem's first blow-bang, Kinzie Kener and Brooke Haven's first three-ways and a rare vag-only scene with emerging anal queen Gia Paloma.
"We sort of have addressed our more popular titles by doing sequels, so having done that now, our next titles are going to more concept driven," he said.
"We've kept it fun. I think we definitely established that we're not going anywhere."
