VSDA’s Home Entertainment Expo Moves to Bellagio

The Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) announced today that they are moving their Home Entertainment convention from the Venetian Hotel and Casino, its location for the past two years, to the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, less than a mile away.

"The elegance of the Bellagio and its state-of-the-art suites and meeting space will provide an outstanding experience for attendees and exhibitors alike," said VSDA president Bo Andersen.

Home Entertainment Show 2005, targeting both Adult and mainstream entertainment suppliers, will take place July 26-28, 2005.

Janet Gibson, who handles Adult companies participating in the expo, said the 2005 show will retain the same format used this year.

“Primarily suites and a small exhibit floor, but all of the adult companies will be in suites,” said Gibson. “The exhibit floor is for companies that aren’t entertainment suppliers, people selling racks, stands and things like that.”

According to Gibson, this year’s Home Entertainment might include an Adult seminar track, though details have yet to be firmed up.

“Early response from exhibitors has favored the move to the Bellagio, Gibson enthused, “with enthusiasm for the opportunities presented by the new venue and additional programming.”

“We're very excited about the show moving to this five-star hotel," said Mike Haney, the Sundance Channel’s vice president of home entertainment. "We believe the Bellagio will provide a very productive setting for us to conduct business with our retail and distribution partners.”

“All of our distributors and retailers should be treated very well and deserve the very best,” Vivid national sales manager Howard Levine told AVN.com.
